Radio Tunes - great music 24/7 App Reviews

This used to be a great app when it was SkyFm, but now there are more ads than on regular radio... no thanks.

Songs keep getting stopped on its own, you need to pause and unpause to get the song going.

It kept buffering every time while I was listing to it .

This is the music I want to hear. But the app drops tunes constantly, sitting 10 feet from my wifi hotspot! Buffer shows full, but wont play without stop / restart. And the commercials are SLIMY. Im afraid to sign up for a subscription from a company who allows such questionable advertising! If RadioTunes REALLY wants to play in this space, they REALLY gotta fix this app.

The music selection is very good with many different channels and genres. In regards to the app, the design is not optimized for larger screen sizes causing buttons to be up scaled and ugly.

After 2 yrs of paying for premium subscription I decided to cancel my subscription . During my 2 yrs I did not experience problems of the music starting and stopping. However, as soon as I stopped the subscription I find I have to restart the app to restart the music. Look around for other music apps that cost less per month.

I think is time for a iPad app

Premium subscriber here. The stations and music selection is great, however the app feels from 2010 and needs a major renovation and increased functionality, maybe Apple Watch companion, 3D Touch, chrome cast compatibility, etc.

Unless your steam is not available anywhere else, dont bother with this app. TuneIn is far more polished than this.

This app works great if you pay for premium which is cheap. Great sound and no buffering. No landscape yet for IPad. Its in development.

I found radiotunes initially on tunein radio. Apparently there was some sort of a break up between these two. Because I enjoyed a particular station on radiotunes I decided to try the free portion of their app. I find this app scarcely usable and most annoying, to the extent that I am afraid to try the paid app.

Way too many, continual dropouts and clearly inferior audio quality (even after lowering the bandwidth settings as RadioTunes instructs to combat dropouts) when compared to my old standby, solid-performer radio app of several years, ooTunes. I resent being steered to RadioTunes only so I can keep listening to my favorite stream station, Roots Reggae, which became inoperable after the New Year when using ooTunes. When using ooTunes, the app performed robustly and reliably, I never had any dropout problems, and the audio quality was consistently higher for Roots Reggae and many other stations. I most likely will be dumping RadioTunes unless they can execute a 180 degree turnaround in the quality and performance of their app. Too bad...trust me, ooTunes costs a token few dollar, but is totally worth it in the long run. With its across-the-board inferior performance, RadioTunes just detracts from any sort of a pleasurable listening experience.

Plays a lot of songs that nobodys ever heard, and plays strings of ads (four or more in a row) over songs rather than between songs. There are many better choices.

Ive been listening to music on this app for years. It works just fine, has a lot of incredible variety of music from around the world, and it has been nothing but stable. Im happy with it. Also check out their sister app called Digitally Imported for electronic music.

Great music, good quality stream, great value.

Until the recent changes it was so great!! I was gitty with excitement about because I finally found a station with music I loved. Great uptempo contemporary jazz artist I could follow. Ninety percent of the songs played I really enjoyed. And didnt feel the need to change the station, when something new come along, cause it was still within the great melodic types of jazz I enjoy listening too.

For a long time we didnt have any updates with this application. But I love this app

When I open the app is ask me to down new version but the App Store dont have new update.... So what the hell!!!!..... Guys!?!?!?.....

The "contact support" feature opens and allows me to compose a message. But it does not allow me to send the message I just compose. Or even delete the draft without closing the app entirely and relaunching. Also, the new "like" list is only a list. It does not allow me to play any of the songs on that list. More later.

Love the March 2016 update for the most part. The new look is great and its easier to use and an ounce you get used to it. But Ive noticed that the app suffers from dropout issues when a wifi signal gets weak. Ive also noticed disconnect issues when going from a wifi signal to a cellular signal. The stream will stop and the app will freeze requiring you to close the app completely or even reboot the phone. If this gets corrected, app gets 5 stars.
